Gaels’ Language and Culture in Nova Scotia: A Social, Cultural and Economic Impact Study Survey

About The Survey

You are invited to participate in a survey to assess the social, cultural, and economic impact of Gaelic language, culture, and heritage in Nova Scotia. This work is being organized by Baile nan Gàidheal | Highland Village Museum in partnership with Comhairle na Gàidhlig | Gaelic Council of Nova Scotia, and Oifis Iomairtean na Gàidhlig | Office of Gaelic Affairs. Research Consultants, Dr. Zeynep Özkök, Dr. Tiber Falzett & Dr. John W. Shaw, have been engaged to provide additional support for this work.

The survey provides a platform for individuals to offer key insights concerning the ways in which Gaels, through their Gaelic language and cultural expression continue to impact Nova Scotia life. Participation in this survey is an opportunity to give voice to what this living cultural legacy means to you, your family, and your community.

The survey takes approximately 20-25 minutes to complete.
