Comhairle na Gàidhlig – the Nova Scotia Gaelic Council
This year Comhairle na Gàidhlig is offering the opportunity to
renew or purchase your Council membership in advance of the
Annual General Meeting and An Là Mòr scheduled for June 27,
Comhairle na Gàidhlig provides representation and leadership for
the Nova Scotia Gaelic Community. We advocate and lobby on
behalf of the community to ensure their needs and interests are
met. We advise the
business sector and government, including school boards, in
regards to the advancement of awareness and policy, which
strengthens our culture and preserves our heritage. The
non-profit, volunteer organization, in partnership with other
leading Gaelic community organizations, advises and makes
recommendations, ensuring the fostering of growth of Nova
Scotia’s unique Gaelic identity.
We work with our partners to lead the development of Nova
Scotian Gaelic language and culture.

As a member of Comhairle na Gàidhlig, you will be updated on
Gaelic activities and events happening within the province and
around the world. Council Members are given the opportunity to
vote at the Annual General Meeting, participate on the Board of
Directors and volunteer on one of our committees. We are a
community of individuals actively involved in investing in the
growth of our creative spirit and Gaelic identity, enhanced
through the development of our cultural activity and language.
Membership packages include:
$10 per person/ $20 per family for one year
$20 per person for two years
$45 per person for five years

page) can be used to make payment in advance.

Comhairle na Gàidhlig welcomes everyone who wants to see the Gaelic language and culture fostered and promoted within the province. Membership is open to everyone; you don’t need to speak Gaelic or live in Nova Scotia.
